Anatomia e Brymës (Anatomy of Frost) is an anthology of selected poems by the Albanian poet Shefqet Dibrani. These highly biographical poems, selected and introduced by Gjekë Marinaj, represent Dibrani’s lifelong poetic contribution to Albanian and world literature. Consequently, it is only fitting that his poetry covers an enormous amount of geographical space and incorporates an incredible amount of historical data.
This is particularly relevant, not only to the contextual factors that led some of the Balkans Nation into war during the last decade of the 20th century, but also to provide poetic and historical evidence on the nature and the extent of civilian suffering during and immediately after the armed conflicts ended.
